Job Description

The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for resolving Xometry’s most challenging manufacturing projects by manually coordinating and placing orders outside of standard automated workflows. This role involves technical review, problem-solving, and collaboration with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure successful project placement.

Responsibilities

• Manage advanced sourcing cases requiring detailed analysis
• Investigate root causes of supplier acceptance issues
• Review technical documentation and drawings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Communicate with suppliers and customers
• Maintain case notes and documentation
• Provide guidance to Sourcing Coordinators

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply-chain management
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet-metal fabrication, additive manufacturing)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Google Sheets and Docs
