Xometry is seeking highly motivated Mechanical Engineers to act as customer-facing Manufacturing Solutions Engineers, embedded within strategic accounts. This role blends customer engagement, technical expertise, and operational execution, focusing on driving growth and ensuring customer satisfaction within a digital manufacturing marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Customer Integration: Act as a trusted advisor and technical expert
• Weekly onsite customer visits
• Collaborate on Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
• Proactively identify manufacturing challenges
• Order Fulfillment and Quality: Direct orders to qualified manufacturers
• Conduct on-site audits of manufacturing partners
• Manage projects to completion
• Handle critical communications and escalations
• Monitor customer dashboards
• Sales and Account Growth: Partner with Sales Executives
• Identify opportunities for expanding services
• Provide technical support during sales
• Gather customer insights

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, product development, and project management
• Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM principles
• Experience in Injection Molding, CNC Machining, Tube Bending, Composites, or 3D printing is preferred
• Proficiency in Solidworks
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel up to 50%
