Job Description

Xometry is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to serve as customer-facing Technical Account Managers, embedded within strategic accounts. This role blends customer engagement, technical expertise, and operational execution, working closely with Sales to drive growth and customer satisfaction within a dynamic digital manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor and technical expert for enterprise accounts
  • Conduct weekly onsite visits to build relationships and understand customer needs
  • Collaborate on Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
  • Identify and address manufacturing challenges
  • Ensure orders are directed to qualified manufacturers
  • Conduct on-site audits of manufacturing partners
  • Manage projects to completion, ensuring on-time delivery
  • Handle critical communications and escalations
  • Partner with Sales to drive account growth and retention
  • Identify opportunities to expand Xometry’s services
  • Provide technical support during the sales process
  • Gather customer insights and feedback

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, product development, and project management
  • Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM principles
  • Experience in CNC Machining, Tube Bending, Composites, or 3D printing is preferred
  • Proficiency in Solidworks
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
