Job Description

Xometry is seeking highly motivated Mechanical Engineers to act as customer-facing Technical Account Managers (TAMs). These TAMs will be embedded within strategic accounts, acting as an extension of their engineering teams, blending customer engagement, technical expertise, and operational execution.

Responsibilities

• Become a trusted advisor and technical expert for assigned accounts
• Weekly onsite visits to build relationships
• Collaborate on Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
• Proactively identify and address manufacturing challenges
• Ensure orders are directed to qualified manufacturers
• Conduct on-site audits of manufacturing partners
• Manage projects to completion, overseeing production
• Handle critical communications and escalations
• Partner with Sales to drive account growth
• Identify opportunities for expanding services
• Provide technical support during the sales process
• Gather customer insights

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, product development, and project management
• Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM principles
• Experience in CNC Machining, Tube Bending, Composites, or 3D printing is preferred
• Proficiency in Solidworks
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel up to 50%
