Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Data Science leader to manage their ML & data science research & development and evolve the services that drive their on-demand manufacturing marketplace. The ideal candidate will have experience leading data science teams in an AI-centric company and bringing ML models to market within an online platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead Xometry’s pricing strategy
• Build relationships with stakeholders and communicate team progress
• Iterate and evolve ML models based on feedback
• Manage team with KPI-driven approach
• Lead cross-team projects to drive business results
• Explore new machine learning opportunities and perform proof of concepts
• Develop ML models to predict cost, price, and sourcing options
• Evaluate emerging technologies and develop new features
• Monitor and troubleshoot machine learning model performance
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge base

Requirements

• 8+ years experience developing and implementing machine learning algorithms
• Experience in online marketplaces
• Understanding of scalable architectures and Agile environments
• Expertise in marketplace optimization and pricing theory
• Ability to apply research concepts to production code
• Knowledge of design of experiments and online experimentation
• Experience with Python/R, forecasting, machine learning, and statistics
• Experience with SQL and cloud technologies
• Fluency in Python and SQL, experience with Tensorflow, PyTorch, Airflow
• PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent experience
• US citizen, green card holder, or legal permanent resident
