Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Pricing and Sourcing Science team. This role involves leveraging statistical modeling and machine learning to optimize pricing, lead times, and sourcing strategies within their custom manufacturing marketplace, coupled with rigorous experimentation and scalable decision-making systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement statistical/ML models to optimize pricing, lead times, and sourcing
• Design and evaluate experiments (A/B tests, bandits)
• Assess competitive pricing, market dynamics, and customer behavior
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines
• Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Collaborate and communicate insights to stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s/Ph.D. preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Applied Econometrics
• Proven track record in predictive/causal inference modeling
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch)
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale data platforms
• Familiarity with scientific software principles
• Experience with cloud computing (AWS preferred)
• Ability to translate data insights into business recommendations
• Strong communication skills
