Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Pricing and Sourcing Science team. This role involves leveraging statistical modeling and machine learning to understand pricing and sourcing dynamics within their marketplace, building scalable decision-making systems, and conducting rigorous experimentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement statistical/ML models for pricing, lead times, and sourcing
• Design and evaluate experiments (A/B tests, bandits)
• Assess competitive pricing and market dynamics
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines
• Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Collaborate and communicate insights to stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s/Ph.D. preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Applied Econometrics
• Track record in predictive/causal inference modeling
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch)
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale data platforms
• Familiarity with scientific software principles
• Experience with cloud computing (AWS preferred)
• Ability to translate data into business recommendations
• Strong communication skills
