Xometry is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their sourcing team, focusing on developing and evaluating predictive models using machine learning to predict business outcomes and make statistical inferences from data.
Responsibilities
Develop predictive models using data science and machine learning
Prepare, clean, and sample data for model development
Utilize cloud resources (AWS) for data preparation and processing
Query and extract data from databases (Snowflake)
Use data analysis and visualization tools (SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Looker)
Iterate solutions in a fast-paced environment
Solve challenging problems
Collaborate in a team environment
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in applied math, computer science, natural sciences, or engineering
M.S. or Ph.D. in a related field preferred
5+ years of experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and optimization
Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, SciPy, scikit-learn)
