Xometry is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to develop, optimize, and evaluate predictive models using machine learning tools and techniques to predict business outcomes and make statistical inferences from data.
Responsibilities
Develop predictive models using data science and machine learning
Prepare, clean, and sample data for model development
Utilize cloud resources for data preparation and processing
Query and extract data from databases
Use data analysis and visualization tools to inform business strategy
Iterate solutions in a fast-paced environment
Solve challenging problems
Collaborate in a teamwork-oriented environment
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in applied math, computer science, natural sciences, or engineering
M.S. or Ph.D. in a related field preferred
5+ years of experience with machine learning and statistical modeling
Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, SciPy, scikit-learn)
Proficiency in linear algebra and statistics
Familiarity with scientific software principles
Experience in the manufacturing industry is desired
