Job Description

Xometry is seeking a motivated IT Service Desk Intern to provide first-level technical support to end-users via Slack, Freshdesk, and in-person, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support (account lockouts, password resets, access requests)
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Assist with network connectivity and VPN support
  • Support IT equipment lifecycle (setup, deployment, configuration)
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and offboarding
  • Contribute to technical documentation
  • Collaborate with IT teams on projects
  • Escalate complex issues and maintain customer service

Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of Windows and macOS
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack) and productivity applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace)
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Organizational skills and proactive mindset
  • Ability to lift computer equipment
  • Currently enrolled in college/university, graduating in 2026/2027 with 3.5 GPA
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Legal authorization to work in the US
  • Ability to commute to office at least 3 days/week
