Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to enhance the infrastructure supporting their AI/ML solutions, including the Instant Quoting Engine and Computational Geometry Service. This role involves hands-on development, innovation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver core aspects of the Xometry platform.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee superior infrastructure and software delivery
• Champion cutting-edge technologies
• Conduct code reviews and mentor others
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and leadership

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a technical, problem-solving environment
• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
• Understanding of software engineering principles
• Experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Expertise in IaC (Terraform), REST API design, Python, and multimodal data processing
• Experience with AWS microservices (SageMaker, Service Catalog, IAM, Lambda, etc)
• Containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• US Citizen or Green Card holder (ITAR)
