Job Description

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for researching, developing, designing, testing, evaluating, and documenting electrical components, subassemblies, equipment, and systems. This role involves independent work and collaboration within a team to support the development of capital equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and document Electrical Systems and Components
• Propose specifications and conduct validation for electrical systems
• Maintain Electrical System Interconnect Diagrams and Schematics
• Manage supplier for prototype electrical assemblies
• Support supply chain for component management
• Provide electrical expertise to other job functions
• Conduct system integration and validation
• Improve system performance, reliability, and manufacturability
• Drive full documentation of design
• Oversee fabrication, operation, and repair of electrical systems
• Manage projects from concept to production
• Collaborate with Hardware, Software, and Process teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Electrical Systems Design and Development
• 5+ years of ECAD experience (Solidworks Electrical)
• Experience with complex capital equipment in high value industries
• Hands-on experience with prototyping and manufacturing
• Experience with Solidworks Electrical 3D
• Experience with Electrical Control Panel and Machine Cable Routing
• Experience with Product Design Management software
• Solid knowledge of Automation Control Networks and Safety Systems
• Experience with IEC 81346-1 Standard
• Systems level thinking
• Strong communication skills
