Job Description

As a Business Development Account Manager, you will manage target customers to lead additive manufacturing programs from concept to production, acting as a dedicated technical engineer and resource. You will collaborate with internal and external teams to overcome production challenges and drive adoption of Velo3D’s manufacturing solution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage target accounts through increased demand on Sapphire systems
  • Serve as the go-to technical engineer for current and future programs
  • Lead accounts into manufacturing production using Velo3D’s solution
  • Manage all aspects of critical programs from design to full-scale production
  • Leverage engineering experience to visualize manufacturing paths
  • Design, modify, and analyze geometries in CAD
  • Resolve complex problems with internal and external teams
  • Document statement of work and acceptance criteria
  • Educate customers on Velo3D part design allowables
  • Consult on design optimization and challenges
  • Work with Applications Engineering on non-standard applications
  • Maintain documentation and project management skills

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Material Science, or related field
  • Industry experience in design engineering and manufacturing processes (AM, casting, machining, forging, etc.)
  • Experience with projects from early development to production
  • Self-motivation and project management skills
  • Sales and account management skills
  • Customer-facing and project/program management skills
  • CAD software design (Solidworks, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, CATIA)
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder (mandatory for ITAR)
